Rental information

Rental Pricing: Van rentals begin at $300 per day. Rental periods are calculated in 24-hour increment from the

scheduled pickup time.

 

Mileage Policy: Each rental includes 100 miles per day. If mileage exceeds the included daily allowance, additional

miles will be charged at $0.85 per mile. Mileage is calculated based on the vehicle’s odometer reading at pickup and return.

Mileage packages may also be available during booking to reduce the cost of additional miles.  

 

Protection Packages: AK Van Rentals offers optional protection packages that reduce the renter’s financial

responsibility if the vehicle is damaged during the rental period.  

 

Basic Protection – $45 per dayReduces the renter’s financial responsibility for vehicle damage up to $2,000.

Premium Protection – $75 per dayReduces the renter’s financial responsibility for vehicle damage up to $500.

 

Protection packages are optional damage waivers and are not insurance. They only limit the renter’s financial responsibility

for vehicle damage subject to the terms of the rental agreement.

 

Insurance Requirement: Renters must provide proof of valid automobile insurance covering liability during the

rental period. The renter’s personal insurance policy serves as the primary coverage for any damages or

losses that occur during the rental.  

 

Reservation Deposit: A reservation deposit equal to 30% of the total rental price is required to confirm a booking.

This deposit secures the vehicle for the selected dates and is applied toward the total rental cost. Reservation

deposits are non-refundable if the booking is cancelled.

 

Security Deposit: A refundable $500 security deposit is required at checkout. The deposit will be returned after the

vehicle has been inspected and confirmed to be free of damage, excessive cleaning, fuel shortages, or mileage overages.

 

Driver Requirements: Drivers must be at least 25 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. Only drivers listed on the

rental agreement are permitted to operate the vehicle.

 

Fuel Policy: Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as received. Failure to do so may result in a refueling

fee of up to $200.

 

Cleaning Policy: Vehicles must be returned in the same condition as received. Excessive dirt, trash, smoke odors, or spills

may result in a cleaning fee of up to $400.

 

Late Returns: Vehicles returned after the scheduled return time may be subject to additional rental charges.  

 

Vehicle Use Restrictions: Vehicles may not be used for illegal activity, reckless driving, off-road use, racing, or any activity that

violates local laws or the terms of the rental agreement.

 

Accidents or Damage: If the vehicle is involved in an accident or sustains damage during the rental period, the renter must
